According to trusted and reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano of the Gianluca Di Marzio website, Liverpool have held talks with Xherdan Shaqiri’s brother over a possible move to Anfield for the Swiss winger.
Shaqiri talks are ongoing between Liverpool and Bayern Munchen. #LFC wants Xherdan and had meeting with his brother. But now needs agreement

Romano claims that the Merseyside giants are keen to sign the 22 year old star and they now need an agreement with Bayern Munich to complete a deal. Shaqiri impressed with his dazzling show in Brazil but the Swiss were unfortunate to be knocked out by Argentina in the last sixteen of the showpiece event.
Now that Switzerland are out of the world Cup, the Reds want to quickly wrap up a deal for the Yugoslavian born play maker who will seamlessly fit into Brendan Rodgers’ side at Anfield.
Reliable scout Tor-Kristian Karlsen who also writes for the Guardian tweeted earlier that Shaqiri has a straight choice between a new Bayern contract or joining Liverpool.
According to my sources it's between Liverpool and a new improved contract with Bayern for Xherdan Shaqiri

Under Pep Guardiola, Shaqiri last season spent most of his time in the sidelines, starting just 14 games and making 13 further appearances from the bench. Despite his limited playing time, the winger scored 7 goals and grabbed 4 assists which shows that if he is given the time to feature, he will make an impression.
Shaqiri, with his immaculate talent would be a terrific signing for Brendan Rodgers who has showed his courage to give young players a chance to dazzle last season at Liverpool, as the Reds narrowly missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City.
