According to the agent of in-demand Wigan star Antonio Valencia, a move to Real Madrid would ‘be a dream’ for the Ecuadorian winger.
Real have been linked with Valencia in recent weeks, and speculation has gone as far as saying that a £16.6m bid could be in the cards and that discussions have already been opened.
However, even though his agent has said that nothing concrete has happened as of yet, Valencia’s agent Diego Herrera says Valencia would not only jump at the opportunity, but that the next few days could hold some developments.
Wigan have shot up to 7th in the Premier League table thanks to a run of five wins in six matches, and Steve Bruce’s side has not only gained some valuable separation from the bottom boys, but the Latics are also pushing themselves into contention for a European place if they can extend their hot form into the new year.
With that in mind, Bruce could hold firm about his desires to hang on to all of his key players, including Valencia, until at least the end of the season. However, even though Wigan aren’t in a dire need for funds, an offer like the one mentioned above could be hard to turn down, because it could really open up the opportunity to make a splash in the market in January.
