Sunderland have announced the double signing of Manchester United duo Paddy McNair and Donald Love for a transfer fee of £5.5 million.
The defensive pair have both signed a four-year contract with the Black Cats after failing to feature in Jose Mourinho’s plans at Man Utd.

Paddy McNair, who is capable of operating in defense or in midfield, has made a total of 24 league appearances for the Red Devils but failed to establish himself as a regular since his debut in September 2014.
The 21-year-old has 11 international caps and was also an integral part of the Northern Ireland’s team which competed in Euro 16 in France.
While, Donald Love has just one senior team appearance under his belt after Louis van Gaal handed the youngster his debut in a 2-1 defeat against his new club Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in February.
Following the arrival of the defensive duo, David Moyes said: “Paddy (McNair) is a young, athletic player who is improving all the time. He has experience for Northern Ireland and we want to bring as many international players to the club as we can.
“Donald (Love) comes highly recommended and is another young player who I hope can develop and improve here.

“I want to add some young players to the squad as well as some senior players and both of them have got really good potential and the opportunity to improve.
“I want to bring in players who are here for the long-term as well as the short and hopefully these two are here for the long-term.”
Since replacing Sam Allardyce earlier this summer, David Moyes revealed that he expects to sign players from his former employers to maintain Sunderland’s Premier League status for the near future.
Sunderland are also reportedly close to sign Belgian winger Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan deal and have already registered interest to sign former Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
