Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Granada’s Brazilian left back Guilherme Siqueira. The news would bring joy to Chelsea fans, because it surely paves the way for left-back Filipe Luis to join the West London club.
According to the ever reliable Gianluca di Marzio, a deal has been agreed and the player will travel with his agent Alvaro Torres. He will sign a four year contract and will undergo his medical on Monday.
Chelsea already have agreed deal to sign Diego Costa, who completed his medical as well, and now it becomes daylight evident that Brazilian Luis will become the Atletico Madrid player to join Stamford Bridge this summer.
Couple of days ago, Spanish newspaper El Confidencial reported popular agent Jorge Mendes, who has a good friendly relationship with Jose Mourinho, was due to meet with Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin to conclude a €50m deal for Diego Costa and Filipe Luis.
According to that report, Luis had already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, and now should be able to confirm his move to the bridge hopefully within this month.
