According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to offload both Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier this summer.
The England international has suffered a huge dip in form since the beginning of the season, while his Ivory Coast counterpart has yet to particularly impressed since his £23million move from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017.
Both haven’t been able to reproduce the exploits of Kyle Walker since he left for Manchester City, while Kyle Walker-Peters is still developing.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on Wan-Bissaka who has been very impressive for the Eagles this term, while Norwich’s Max Aarons is also being keenly watched ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has assisted twice in 27 Premier League games this term, and he is unarguably Palace’s most-consistent top performer thus far, catching the eyes of the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich as a result of what has been a superb breakthrough campaign.
Wan-Bissaka missed out on manager Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad for the Euros 2020 qualifiers to the suprise of many, but that will definitely drive him to keep pushing himself the more.
A move to north London will see the youngster improve significantly, given Pochettino’s proven track-record of making players better, and it will be interesting to see if a summer deal actually works out.
