According to reports from Voetbalzone, Leicester City are considering making a move for Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma during the transfer window.
The report claims that the Foxes are likely to face competition from Wolfsburg and Lyon to sign the 24-year-old.
Danjuma was sensational in the Championship last season, bagging 17 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances.
He scored both of the Cherries’ goals in the play-offs against winners Brentford but couldn’t help his side getting promoted.
Bournemouth signed him for £13.5 million in 2019, and they are expected to demand at least £20m for him.
West Ham United and Southampton are also reportedly keen to secure his signature.
Brighton & Hove Albion, Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Lille are also in the hunt, according to TEAMtalk.
SL View – West Ham must act quickly
With Bournemouth staying in the Championship for another year, Danjuma may not be willing to stick around, especially when several clubs are vying for his signature.
A move abroad could be tempting for him, especially at Lyon where he will get a taste of European football.
He was one of the standout performers in the Championship last season, and the Hammers should move quickly for him ahead of Leicester.
West Ham enjoyed a superb 2020-21 campaign where they finished sixth in the Premier League table.
The Hammers board must back David Moyes with funds in the transfer window, and Danjuma would be a quality addition.
