If you watched the England versus Holland game, you must have noticed the red and white football shoes John Terry was wearing. It was the classic Umbro Speciali. Over the years, players like Alan Shearer, Michael Owen and Roberto Carlos wore them and building up from that, Umbro launched the modern 2009 version of the boot. Owen, Terry, Gael Clichy, Deco and a number of other Premier League stars will be wearing the same boot. On top of that, the English coach Fabio Capello will be wearing it during the World Cup qualifiers training sessions.
Umbro Speciali
These shoes are known for incredible comfort, control, accuracy and power. It’s famous premium soft leather creates outstanding fit without compromising touch, accuracy and control. The new red and white style adds a great sense of Umbro’s English roots. Other than that, the shoe features high density memory foam in the tongue, fast flex grooves in the outsole for greater flexibility, lightweight precision studs engineered with aircraft grade aluminium and it is the lightest Umbro Speciali ever made.
The England and Chelsea caption John Terry said:
“The new Speciali is the best boot Umbro has ever built. I’ve been testing it out and it’s not only a stylish and functional boot, but also gives the perfect fit and comfort I need to play at this level.”
FYI – Terry’s goal against Ukraine back in May was scored wearing an all-white new Speciali.
