Good winner at Windsor and Newbury at the end of last season – can ignore the last run as likely needed it. Stoute has a fair record here – winning this race in 2016 – and Ryan Moore booked to ride.

FALCON EIGHT @ 4/1 with BetUK – 3.15 Chester

Landed the Chester Cup last year and is back for more. Frankie Dettori rides again and is only 5lbs higher than 12 months ago. Won that day by 2 lengths and is only carrying 2lbs extra in actual racing weight. Looks to have been the target for a while and past winners have a fair record in the race – Anak Pekan was the last to win the Chester Cup in back-to-back seasons.

ACKLAM EXPRESS @ 5/1 with BetUK – 3.45 Chester

Has been running in better races this this so the drop back into a Conditions race will suit and gets weight from some of the main players. Good draw in 6 too and having had two runs this year will be fitter than some.
