German goalkeeper Loris Karius has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer and according to latest reports it appears that a deal for the Mainz star could be announced soon.
The very reliable Liverpool correspondent Melissa Reddy from Goal.com has claimed that the signing of the German should be completed by Wednesday (25th May).
Liverpool have already announced the signings of Marco Grujic and Joel Matip.
Karius will be another excellent addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side. The German is one of the best young keepers in the world right now and is expected to replace Mignolet as Liverpool’s number one.
Liverpool’s need for a new keeper has never been greater. The Reds have suffered a lot because of Mignolet’s errors over the last couple of seasons and Klopp has done well to address that right away.
Karius is expected to cost Liverpool in the region of £4.7million. The Merseyside giants will now step up their efforts to sign Mario Gotze and Ben Chilwell from Bayern Munich and Leicester City respectively.
