Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing a new left-back this summer.
The Sun reported last week that the Whites are keen on the Lyon defender.
The 24-year-old started his career as an attacker but has been transformed into a top-quality full-back.
He is now a major player for his Ligue 1 side, bagging four goals and six assists in all competitions last season.
The report claimed that Lyon are demanding a fee in the region of £20 million for the player.
David Anderson of The Mirror has tweeted that Cornet’s agent has approached Leeds.
Leeds continue their search for a specialist left-back. It is believed the agent of Lyon’s Maxwel Cornet approached them, but Leeds are not interested in the £20million price tag being quoted. #lufc

According to reports from Sky Sports, there are serious questions about the future of Ezgjan Alioski.
Marcelo Bielsa wants him to stay, and Leeds would like to offer a contract renewal.
However, time is running out as he is out of contract in June. The Whites will need to search for a new left-back if he leaves the club.
Cornet can also operate high up the pitch and play on both flanks.
At 24, the best years of his playing career should be ahead of him.
Stuart Dallas can fill in at left-back, but he was mostly used in midfield last season.
Cornet would be a very good addition for Leeds, but it seems unless there is a drop in price, the transfer is unlikely to go through.
