Fabio Paritici ‘especially’ wants to bring Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
It is clear for everyone to see that Paritici and Nuno Espirito Santo have identified central defence as the area in most need of attention at Spurs.
Tottenham have already been linked with a plethora of centre-backs, including Jules Kounde (Estadio Deportivo), Conor Coady (Football Insider) and Jannik Vestergaard (Daily Mail).
However, there is one man who stands out above all of those.
Fabio Paritici ‘especially’ wants Takehiro Tomiyasu at Tottenham
The Daily Mail reckon that the Tomiyasu is a priority transfer target for the north London outfit’s Managing Director of Football.
The Serie A outfit allegedly want at least £15 million for the centre-back, according to David Ornstein.
That seems like outstanding value for Tottenham.
The 23-capped Japan international made 31 Serie A appearances for Bologna last season.
During those outings he averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.7 interceptions and 3.3 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.9 aerial duels per match.
Not only is Tomiyasu a top-class defender, but he also has a very impressive range of passing – something that will be crucial for any centre-back who plays under Nuno.
He made 48.7 passes per game on average last season and recorded an impressive 82.1% completion rate.
The Japanese ace really is a player Tottenham should be going all out for, especially for just £15m!
Considering his quality, it is little wonder why Paritici is so keen to sign him.
