Everton boss Rafael Benitez is ready to sell Bernard in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind Richarlison, Alex Iwobi and James Rodriguez.
The Brazilian, who joined the club on a free transfer in 2018, has made over 80 appearances in the past three seasons.
However, he only made 12 Premier League appearances last season, and Benitez is willing to offload him.
New arrivals at Everton?
Benitez is looking to bolster the attacking areas.
He has stressed the importance of providing quality service for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and wants to bring in at least two new wingers.
According to The Telegraph, Everton are closing in on deals for Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend and Asmir Begovic.
Gray, the former England Under-21 winger, is expected to complete a £1.5 million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.
Townsend is set to join on a free transfer after his exit from Crystal Palace. He is expected to sign a one-year deal with the option of another year.
Begovic will provide back-up to first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Gray’s signing can be seen as a punt, given his age and potential. Even if he turns out to be a flop, it won’t be a massive loss for the Toffees.
However, the potential signing of Townsend is baffling, considering he was very poor last season for the Eagles.
