David Moyes has been sacked as the Manchester United manager, with the club confirming early this morning that Moyes has left the club after less than a year in charge.
It is understood that club legend Ryan Giggs will be appointed as interim boss until the end of the season.
Moyes was chosen by Sir Alex Ferguson as the man to succeed him after he retired after 26 years in charge last summer.
In a statement the club said it “would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role”.
This has been one hell of a calamitous season for the Red Devils. They have lost six league games at home, were knocked out of all domestic competitions and are certain to miss out Champions League qualification next season.
United however reached the quarter finals of the Champions League under Moyes where they were knocked out by Bayern Munich.
What do you think, United fans? Happy its all over? Let me know in the comments below…
