Premier League club Blackburn Rovers and manager Paul Ince have parted company. It has been revealed that the former England international striker has been ‘relieved of his duties’ at Blackburn Rovers.
Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams has declared on the club’s official website:
“Three wins in 17 games has seen a squad, which finished seventh last season, fall to 19th position. We are currently in real danger of becoming detached from the pack. The survival of the club in the Premier League is paramount and our focus now is on finding a replacement who will be able to maintain our top division status. Paul will bounce back, he is a fighter and we wish him well.”
Blackburn have been a disaster so far this season. They finished seventh in the Premier League last season but this season under Ince they are currently stranded in 19th position with no wins in their last 11 matches and only 13 points in the league so far.
So what next for our intrepid black English manager? Will we see him again in the Premier League or is he gone for good?
And more importantly, who do Blackburn turn to to fill the managerial post? Big Sam?
