York Day Three ITV Racing Tips 1-2-3 Selections On Friday

1:50pm – Sky Bet Stakes Heritage Handicap 1m4f ITV

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day Three ITV Racing Tips: BALANCE PLAY is our first selection on Friday and gets the nod from us in what looks to be a very hot race to start the day off.

Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old looks a real progressive type, winning his last two starts at Chester and Goodwood respectively. The Glorious Goodwood win was emphatic, and he has been punished with a 7lb rise this time around. However, given the manner of his win it could be totally justified. A mark of 95 could still underplay his potential.

Wootton’Sun carries top weight of 9st 12lb here and has a great chance for trainer Richard Fahey. He is in good form with a win, three seconds and a third in his last five starts. Toshizou for Roger Fell & Sean Murray is another we like the look of at appealing 10/1 odds with the best horse racing betting sites.

  • BALANCE PLAY
  • WOOTTON’SUN
  • TOSHIZOU

2:25pm – Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup (British Champions Series Race) Group 2 2m ITV

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day Three ITV Racing Tips: COLTRANE makes a lot of appeal here in the Lonsdale Cup for the Andrew Balding stable under the ride of Oisin Murphy.

This six-year-old came second in this race last year behind Quickthorn, but remains off the same mark of 9st 5lb which gives the gelding a slight advantage. Boasts two wins, two seconds and a third in his last five starts. This of course includes a second in the Ascot Gold Cup in June at Royal Ascot, behind Courage Mon Ami.

The Wathnan Racing owned four-year-old is who we think will give Coltrane a close run for his money, with last year’s winner Quickthorn just behind that. The winner will surely come from these three, so pick your order for a potentially rewarding 1-2-3!

  • COLTRANE
  • COURAGE MON AMI
  • QUICKTHORN

3:00pm – Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Gimcrack Stakes Group 2 6f ITV

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day Three ITV Racing Tips: JEHANGEER is a huge price at 33/1 with the best horse racing betting apps and certainly catches the eye for trainer Kevin Ryan.

This race is wide open with ten capable two-year-old sprinters declared. The Irish colt Jehangeer appeals after a win and a runner-up in his two racing starts to date. The win came at Ayr back in June, where he looked chased down the leader before overtaking him and keeping on well inside the final furlong.

If he can replicate that run on Friday afternoon there is every chance of making it back-to-back wins at a huge price. King’s Gamble is another one who appeals and who is massively unexposed having only had one race, which the colt won at Newmarket earlier this month.

Joint favourite Kylian has obvious appeal and is one of the more proven two-year-olds running here. This race is wide open to take your pick as to who you’re backing with the best UK sports betting sites.

  • JEHANGEER
  • KING’S GAMBLE
  • KYLIAN

3:35pm – Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes Group 1 5f ITV

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day Three ITV Racing Tips: HIGHFIELD PRINCESS is our selection in the feature race of the day for the Nunthorpe Stakes. The impressive six-year-old won this race emphatically last year and is the favourite once again 12 months on.

It is fair to say that the French mare is the one to beat here, given her recent win at Glorious Goodwood where she romped home, leaving her sprint rivals for dead. All of the leading sports betting apps have Highfield Princess odds-on to make it back-to-back Nunthorpe sprint victories.

It is also worth keeping an eye on Regional who has a real chance here too. On figures, he still potentially has something to find and looked great when winning a handicap at York earlier this year. The five-year-old gelding also won at Haydock in June with an impressive victory over the Frankie Dettori-ridden Equiateral.

Bradsell has of course beaten Highfield Princess before and could be there or there abouts once again, but here at SportsLens we can just see him finishing in the places rather than crossing the winning post in first place.

  • HIGHFIELD PRINCESS
  • REGIONAL
  • BRADSELL

4:10pm – Assured Data Protection EBF Fillies’ Stakes Heritage Handicap 1m2f ITV

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day Three ITV Racing Tips: AMANZOE is our final selection to win after a one year layoff. She won at Ascot, Sandown, Hamilton and Leicester last year and will be looking to go one better than a second at York last year in the 2022 Ebor Festival.

Amanzoe immediately catches the eye as William Haggas will not have left her short of work on her first start for over a year. Indeed, her latest run came when she was second in this race last season, when beaten two lengths by State Occasion.

The winner of that race has gone up a stone since, and Amanzoe, hugely progressive last term, can race off just a 5lb higher mark here – the third was 4 ½ lengths away last year too, and actually won last week – so she is handicapped to figure.

Rowayeh makes obvious appeal as the outright favourite here, having won at Sandown and Beverley this term, as well as a solid third at Goodwood last time out. Prenup for Jane Chapple-Hyam has some each-way claims if given a big run from Harry Davies off a mark of just 8st 8lb. The filly also won last time out at Sandown.

  • AMANZOE
  • ROWAYEH
  • PRENUP
