The Eva’s Oskar Grand National odds for 2023 sees the Tim Vaughan-trained horse in the top half of the betting. This improving 9 year-old stayer gets in with a featherweight and will be looking to become just the fourth Grand National-winning grey horse today.

Eva’s Oskar Grand National Odds
Trained by Welsh-based handler Tim Vaughan, Eva’s Oskar looks one of the outsiders with a live chance. This 9 year-old was last seen running a fair fourth in the Eider Chase at Newcastle in February so has been freshened up for a tilt at the 2023 Grand National.
However, that effort also came carrying 12st, so the 10st 1lbs he’s been allocated in the National will feel like a featherweight. Earlier this season he was also a nice winner at Cheltenham of a Grade Three Handicap off a big weight and is only rated 2lbs higher here.
This will be his first try over the Grand National fences, but jumps well to suggest he’s up to the task. If successful, then he’ll also cement his name in the Grand National hall-of-fame as being only the fourth winning grey horse of the famous Liverpool race.
Eva’s Oskar will be ridden by Alan Johns and is number 34.

The Aintree Grand National meeting runs over three days and gets going on Thursday 13th April, with the big race – the Randox Grand National on Saturday 15th April.
