Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the evening meeting at Gowran Park for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, April 23rd. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

GOWRAN PARK 6.15

DUKE OF LEGGAGH was in great form last spring, chasing home Paddington when 20-1 for a 7f heavy-ground Naas handicap (the winner was running of a mark of just 97 before going on to record several Group 1 successes), landing a 1m1f handicap at Navan, again on heavy going, before a nose defeat here at Gowran Park (1m, yielding). His form tailed off subsequently, but he looked on his way back when third over 1m2f at Leopardstown last time, making the running and coming again once headed. Today’s race looks less competitive, and it will be very disappointing if he isn’t in the first two or three. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back DUKE OF LEGGAGH in Gowran Park 6.15

GOWRAN PARK 7.15

The Paul Nolan-trained METAMORPHEUS is a fascinating contender in this 1m4f maiden on his first Flat start for 986 days (he ran over jumps 218 days ago). The five-year-old’s sire. Morpheus, gets plenty of winners on deep ground and he hasn’t had underfoot conditions to suit in his two starts since last season’s solid 22-1 sixth of 21 in the Fred Winter when not getting home up the hill after racing on the slowest part of the track. This might be a prep before a return to hurdles at the Punchestown festival but he’s still worth chancing. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back METAMORPHEUS in Gowran Park 7.15
