12 months ago, the 9 year-old was a fair sixth in the race but that experience coupled with being another year older make him an interesting Grand National runner.
Yes, he was beaten 34 lengths by Noble Yeats last year, but he had to give that horse 8lbs and this year it’s a different story on the weight front. Longhouse Poet will actually be getting 11lbs from the 2022 hero – meaning a massive 19lb turnaround.
