SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day One ITV Racing Tips: JM JUNGLE is our favoured selection in this hot Ebor Festival opener with the John Quinn three-year-old having a great season so far. He is seeking a hat-trick after two solid wins in his last two runs.
This handy sort is versatile ground wise and the drying surface should be no issue after winning on quick ground at Haydock on his penultimate start. Korker and Copper Knight will also give this one a good effort with both horses having good form at York and can be seen as our next best bets in the festival opener.

2:25pm Tattersalls Acomb Stakes Group 3 7f ITV
SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day One ITV Racing Tips: – BALLYMOUNT BOY has some of the best form in this race having finished behind Vandeek last time out. Simon & Ed Crisford’s colt went on to win the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville when seen next and looks to be a high-class horse.
Ballymount Boy was only beaten a neck that day at Goodwood, and Adrian Keatley’s two-year-old can continue to improve after a promising start to his career. His form currently reads 2-1-2 and he can make all in this six-runner field. Aidan O’Brien looks to have an exciting prospect on his hands in Edwardian too, meanwhile Loose Cannon has York form winning here in his sole race to date, so are both respected.

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day One ITV Racing Tips: – Queen’s Vase hero GREGORY is our next selection in the ITV Racing tips and has every chance of stretching his unbeaten run to four in this one.
The Gosden yard has an excellent record in this race too, having won it on five occasions since 2007. This drop down in trip should be no problem either for Gregory given that he has won over 1m3f too. After Frankie saddled him to glory last time out, he remains in the saddle and with the Dettori charge, he can hack up once again.
Aidan O’Brien’s Continuous has had some solid runs this season including a runner up to King Of Steel at Ascot last time out and a third in the Dante over course and distance here back in May, so is respected. Castle Way is also on for the four timer and will be a danger under William Buick who has saddled him to victory three times in a row.

SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day One ITV Racing Tips: – Ballydoyle star PADDINGTON has been a sensation so far this season and simply cannot be ignored. He is eyeing a FIFTH straight Group 1 success after already winning the Irish 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace Stakes, Coral Eclipse and Sussex Stakes this season.
Paddington has gone from strength-to-strength with every run and is the leading three-year-old this season without a doubt. The fan favourite colt will bid to make it eight wins on the bounce when he lines up against his three rivals.
Speaking of his opposition, Mostahdaf and The Foxes will be the main danger. The former will have Frankie Dettori aboard and was last seen winning a hot Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot. Meanwhile The Foxes is the only one in the field who has form at York having won the Dante here back in May and can threaten in this small field.

4:10pm Sky Bet Stayers Stakes Heritage Handicap 2m ITV
SportsLens 1-2-3 York Day One ITV Racing Tips: ROBERT JOHNSON is having a smashing season so far since being put back in the hands of Phil Kirby and will be firmly in the mix aiming for a fourth win in his last five outings.
His last win was here at York over course and distance back in July and this drop back down to 2m can only help given his solid record over that trip.
He was impressive in defeat last time out when losing to Temporize at Glorious Goodwood when the pair pulled clear of the rest of the pack, and he holds solid claims once again.
This race is another open field, but Aztec Empire has been backed well this week and could be dangerous under Oisin Murphy. Meanwhile, Tronador is given another go on the flat in this staying contest with Joe Fanning aboard again for top NH yard.
