The King George Chase 2023 will take place at Kempton Park races on Boxing Day (Tuesday 26th December) with a scheduled post time of 2:30pm.
There will be six races at Kempton on Boxing Day, with six following on Wednesday 27th December to complete the Christmas Festival line-up.

Who Is The King George VI Chase 2023 Favourite?
Being one of the most popular races of the calendar year, the King George Chase is often subject to plenty of ante post betting and the market has seen some drastic changes over the past few days.
The Gordon Elliott-trained Gerri Colombe came in for strong support after his impressive reappearance win in the Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal last month. However, he’s now a non-runner and staying in Ireland to run on the Savills Chase on 28th December.
Plus, with last month’s Hyadock Betfair Chase winner Royale Pagaille also out with a sore foot, this has left the Willie Mullins’ Allaho as the new King George favourite with general odds of 13/8.
Allaho won his fifth race in a row over fences last month when returning to action after 561 days off through injury, when winning by nine lengths in the Clonmel Oil Chase.
With the big drift in the market for Gerri Colombe, he joins last year’s King George Chase winner Bravemansgame as another weak option in the betting.
The Paul Nicholls stable star Bravemansgame is yet to win since storming to victory at last year’s Christmas Festival at Kempton and has not had much market support. Whilst finishing second in two four-runner fields twice in his only runs so far this season, he should have really won both times when sent off as odds-on favourite.
He’ll head back to Kempton looking for a repeat of last year (see below), which would be a huge statement with so many doubters on his back going into the race.
