Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew successfully opposed JUST GINO (5th, 9-4) on Tuesday and heads to York’s Dante meeting for his two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, May 15th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

YORK 2.45

The Julie Camacho yard made a slow start to the season but recent signs have been more encouraging and MAKANAH, who caught the eye from off the pace to finish a 12-1 fourth of 14 to Tees Spirit in a 5f handicap at Newmarket’s Craven meeting on his reappearance last month, can be bought at 7 in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market for this competitive 6f handicap (fixed odds players can back him each-way at 12-1). The tailwind made life difficult for the closers at Newmarket that day and Isle Of Lismore, the patiently-ridden third, was successful at Ascot next time to give the form a boost. Makanah has yet to win at York but often runs well in handicaps at this venue, recording the following form figures…

4th of 22 (40-1)

4th of 13 (5-1)

4th of 12 (16-1)

2nd of 22 (beaten by a head at 16-1 in this race two years ago)

5th of 22 (15-2)

5th of 21 (28-1, this race last year)

4th of 20 (18-1)

Stall 22 might be useful for one who needs plenty of room in his races, as he’s likely to end up in a small group on the near side.

Recommendation: Back MAKANAH in York 2.45

YORK 3.15

Last year’s winner AZURE BLUE looks set to run a big race when she reappears in the Duke Of York Clipper Stakes. At the beginning of this week I was concerned about the form of the Michael Dods yard but they had winners had 50-1 and 10-1 yesterday and look to have turned the corner after a typically slow start to the current campaign. Azure Blue hasn’t been seen since disappointing in the July Cup (sixth of eight) but the subsequent absence suggests excuses that day and she won first time out last term. Her full record at today’s 6f trip stands at 32151241411116 (7-14) and the big field/strong pace scenario looks ideal. Buy at 16 in the Spreadex 47.3-28.4-18.9-9.5 market (Cold Case is a non-runner) or take 6-1 in the fixed odds market. I’ve saved on SHOULDVEBEENARING (14-1) who should also be finishing to good effect.

Recommendation: Back AZURE BLUE in York 3.15
