Was also a Grade One Novice Chase winner at the Punchestown Festival last April – beating Lifetime Ambition. That came after a decent fourth the L’Homme Presse in the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in 2022.
Therefore, this JP McManus runner is a horse with ability, but will need to overcome his lack of experience as only had 6 career runs over fences. Is also a 7 year-old and we’ve only had one winner of this age take the Grand National since 1940.
On a plus – that 7 year-old winner did come last year with Noble Yeats.
Will be his first run in the race but is a decent jumper and if successful will be providing Willie Mullins with his second National win.
Capodanno will be ridden by Danny Mullins and is number 6.
