Romelu Lukaku’s 67th minute strike was enough to bring this tie level going into the second leg, after Igor Paixao put Feyenoord ahead in the first half.
The Italian side are coming off a huge 3-0 win in the Serie A against Frosinone, thanks to goals from Dean Huijsen, Sardar Azmoun and Leandro Paredes.
Roma now sit sixth in Serie A and are four points from Champions League qualification – meaning winning the Europa League may be the best way to enter Europe’s elite competition.
Feyenoord also won in their most recent league match, as Mats Wieffer scored a late winner against a 10-men Waalwijk.
Arne Slot’s side are unbeaten in their last 11 matches (all competitions) and will be looking for vengeance in this Europa Conference League 2022 final rematch.
