Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to Thirsk’s Flat turf meeting for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, April 9th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

THIRSK 2.15

ATHERSTONE WARRIOR got no cover from the headwind when fourth in the Brocklesby under a prominent ride (‘prominent against near rail, hung left from 2f out’ according to the Racing Post), doing really well to finish less than two lengths behind Zminiature. The winner (‘dwelt start, towards rear’), runner-up (‘slowly away, in rear’), third (‘towards rear’) and fifth (‘towards rear’) all came from well off the pace and it was a huge effort in the circumstances. The Alice Haynes-trained colt can be backed to gain compensation in this 5f maiden. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ATHERSTONE WARRIOR in Thirsk 2.15

THIRSK 4.15

OSO RAPIDO has yet to win before mid-July and is likely to need his reappearance run in this 5f handicap. His three seasonal debut efforts for his current yard have produced a 9-1 last of eight, 11-1 fifth of 11 and a 9-2 ninth of ten. Sell in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market. SHOWALONG, whose record on his second start of the season reads 1121 (3-4) with the defeat by just half a length when a 14-1 shot, looks the obvious play for fixed odds punters.

Recommendation: Oppose OSO RAPIDO in Thirsk 4.15
