Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads Kempton and Beverley for his two recommended bets/trades on Monday, May 6th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

KEMPTON 2.55

EXCELERO ran a huge race on his debut at Warwick in November, coming from off the pace to finish second to Gary Moore’s Salver and pulling 22 lengths clear of the third. The winner went on to complete a four-timer, including the Grade 2 Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow, before his fine third to Majborough in the Triumph Hurdle. Excelero was upped to Grade 2 company at Cheltenham on Trials Day for his next start where he ran a blinder to finish an 11-length 25-1 fourth to Sir Gino. I had expected him to be aimed at the Fred Winter after than run but he rocked up in a modest event at Market Rasen where he bolted up by 14 lengths at odds of 4-11 despite jumping out to his left on the right-handed track. He’s racing right-handed again but looks to have plenty of improvement to come and looks worth a bet. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back EXCELERO in Kempton 2.55

BEVERLEY 3.05

KINDEST NATION ran green when fifth at Newcastle on her debut in March and took a step forward at Southwell later the same month, scoring by a length and a half from God Bless America who was short-headed in a Bath maiden next time. Progeny of her sire, Sioux Nation, have a good record in smallish fields (ten or fewer runners), landing 86 of their 480 starts (17.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £69.31 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 71.59, A/E = 1.20) and Hugo Palmer’s three-year-old looks interesting on her turf debut. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back KINDEST NATION in Beverley 3.05
