KAPGA DE LILY (system – Venetia Williams handicap chasers, November)
Venetia Williams has a solid record with handicap chasers in November and had we blindly backed all 600 qualifiers we’d have found 115 winners (19.2% strike rate) for an impressive £194.76 profit to the usual £1 level stake at SP. She does particularly well at Ascot (the strike rate improves to 23.7%) and KAPGA DE LILY is taken to end a losing spell for the yard now that the proper soft ground has arrived.

OPERATION MANNA (system – Tom Lacey, first run in a handicap hurdle)
Tom Lacey’s hurdlers do well in their first handicap start and had we backed them all we’d have won 18 of our 88 bets (20.5% strike-rate) and made a profit of £59.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. OPERATION MANNA scored in a bumper and maiden hurdle in his first season and has every chance of landing his first handicap.
KEMPTON 4.40
DOWNTOWN DUBAI (system – sire Exceed and Excel, 2yo, Kempton, all-weather)
Juvenile progeny of the sire Exceed and Excel have an excellent record on the all-weather at Kempton, winning 48 of their 265 starts (18.1%) for a profit of £46.48 to a £1 level stake at SP. DOWNTOWN DUBAI stayed on well after being hampered on his first handicap run on the tapeta at Wolverhampton and the step up in trip and first visit to Kempton may be ideal.
