Eurovision Song Contest Odds 2023

According to the latest odds across UK bookmakers, serial winners Sweden are the outright favourite to clinch the Eurovision crown this year, which would move them level with the Irish as the competition’s all-time record winners on seven.

Their heavily-favoured solo artist Loreen will perform the song “Tattoo” in an attempt to stop Ukraine from retaining their title, who could themselves become the first repeat winners since Ireland in 1993.

Elsewhere, the world’s ‘happiest country’ Finland are hoping to win only their second Eurovision, while France, Israel and one-time winners Spain complete the current top six according to odds-setters.

Host nation the United Kingdom will be vying to end their 24-year baron run with Mae Muller’s ‘I Wrote a Song’ tune, but at 66/1, they are not considered to be a serious threat to this year’s frontrunners.

Eurovision Song Contest Odds – Jury and Tele Vote Winners

If you are unfamiliar with how voting works in the Eurovision Song Contest, it is calculated using both jury and televoting in the final.

The jury voting constitutes only 50% of the final results, with the rest determined by the public vote, and each award an independent set of points.

Last year for example, Ukraine registered an overwhelming victory in the televoting, while eventual runners-up the UK were handed the lion’s share of picks by the jury’s voting.

According to the current markets, outright favourites Sweden are also listed as the shortest price for the jury vote, but the televote sees Finland handed the most favourable odds.

They also reflect vastly different nations, and wider discrepancies between prices.

Jury Vote Winner Odds

  • Sweden – 1/3
  • France – 7/1
  • Spain – 12/1
  • Italy – 14/1
  • Finland – 16/1
  • Ukraine – 33/1

Televote Winner Odds

  • Finland – 4/9
  • Ukraine – 10/3
  • Sweden – 5/1
  • Norway – 25/1
  • Israel – 40/1
  • Germany – 66/1
