Chelsea Champions League Winner Odds: The Blues At 10/1 After Easing Past Dortmund

Chelsea are now 10/1 to win the Champions League this season after the Blues cruised past Borussia Dortmund in the second round of their last 16 tie. 

Graham Potter finally enjoyed some success on Tuesday night, as he watched his side ease past their German opposition in the second leg of the Champions League.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring just before half time after the ball bounced up to the Chelsea forward in the box and his sharp finish into the roof of the net levelled the tie going in at the break.

Chelsea were awarded a penalty when VAR decided Marius Wolf handled the ball in the box and it was Kai Havertz who was left to take the spot kick just after the break. The 23-year old struck the post with his first effort, but he was given a second chance when VAR saw encroachment from a Dortmund player before the kick was taken.

Havertz made no mistake second time, as he took the bold decision to go the same way again but this time buried into the bottom right corner before wheeling away in celebration.

The Blues managed to hold on for the rest of the game and the gritty 2-0 win secured Chelsea’s spot in the quarter finals of this years Champions League.

Ahead of Chelsea in the quarters will be Benfica, who won comfortably enjoying a 5-1 victory and a 7-1 aggregate score against Club Brugge who were knocked out in emphatic fashion.

Along with Benfica will be the winner of PSG against Bayern, with the German’s holding a 1-0 advantage after the first leg. Full quarter final fixture list below.
