World Darts Championship Day 2 Tips

12:45 – Lee Evans vs Sandro Eric Sosing: Evans To Win, Highest Checkout & Most 180s @ 13/10

Lee Evans is the overwhelming 1/5 favourite in this match-up, which leads me to look towards the match treble. He’s earned more than £70,000 in prize money throughout his career to Sandro Eric Sosing’s £2,500.

Evans is making his World Championship debut on Saturday afternoon but has previous major experience, reaching the last 64 of the UK Open twice and Players Championship Finals once.

He beat Michael van Gerwen at Players Championship 29 and he’s overturned quite a few big names on that circuit. This experience should be too much for Sosing to handle, who has played exclusively in Asia so far.

13/10 looks a solid price for Evans to complete the match treble, winning with the highest checkout and most 180s.

20:00 – Keane Barry vs Reynaldo Rivera: Barry To Win & Most 180s @ 10/11

Keane Barry has been a regular name in the early rounds of the World Championship in recent years ahead of his fifth consecutive appearance at Alexandra Palace.

Outside of three first round losses, he took Jonny Clayton to the wire in the second round two years ago after beating Royden Lamb in his opener.

He’s also a PDC major semi-finalist, reaching the final four stage at the UK Open in 2022. He overturned James Wade in the quarters before being humbled in the next round by Michael Smith.

Barry made the last 16 of the Players Championship Finals that year too, so he’s done quite a bit in the sport already at the age of 21. The Irishman knows he should be winning these games.

Reynaldo Rivera won twice on the Asian Tour this year but he meets a different calibre of player at Alexandra Palace on Saturday, who should comfortably win with the most maximums.

20:45 – Scott Williams vs Haruki Muramatsu: Williams To Win & Highest Checkout @ 11/10

Scott Williams takes on Haruki Muramatsu in the penultimate game of the night. The Englishman made it to the second round of the tournament last time out before losing 3-1 to Rob Cross.

Williams is a previous winner of a Players Championship event in 2022, made it to the last 16 of the Players Championship Finals in the same year and reached a semi-final on the European Tour in 2023.

Muramatsu is an established player from Japan who has reached the last 64 at the World Championship on three occasions dating back to 2010 and he reached the World Cup semi-final in 2019.

He mostly competes in the MODUS Super Series and will find it tough to beat Williams on the main stage at Alexandra Palace.
