Sheffield United vs Brighton Preview and Prediction
Brighton clinched their place in round four of the FA Cup with a 4-2 win over Stoke City, thanks to goals from Pervis Estupinan, Lewis Dunk and a Joao Pedro brace.
Roberto De Zerbi’s men are unbeaten in their last five (all competitions) but are coming off an underwhelming performance against Brighton – playing out a 0-0 stalemate.
The Seagulls showed huge promise in this competition last season, losing to Manchester United on penalties in the semi-finals and continuing a long wait for silverware.
Sheffield United swept Gillingham aside in the previous round, as James McAtee and William Osula scored two goals each and Chris Wilder’s side will be looking for a distraction from the Premier League.
The Blades are rock bottom of England’s top-flight, sitting seven points from safety and a string cup run may be the key to resurrecting a poor campaign.
In the league meeting between these two sides the honours were even, as the match ended 1-1 at the Amex – meaning you have to go back to January 2005 to find Brighton’s last win over Sheffield United.

As previously mentioned, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are unbeaten in their last five and this includes a 4-2 win over Premier League giants, Tottenham Hotspur.
Brighton are currently 22 points clear of Sheffield United in the Premier League and Chris Wilder’s side have won just two of their last 11 in all competitions.
With that in mind, we believe Brighton will be too strong for Sheffield United in this FA Cup clash and are a safe option at 4/7.
