2023 Winner: CONSTITUTION HILL (1st 4/11 fav)
Trainer – Nicky Henderson
Jockey – Nico de Boinville
UK/Irish: UK

2024 Champion Hurdle Trends

The Champion Hurdle has been in the news in the build-up to the race with last year’s winner Constitution Hill a big doubt.

This has paved the way for the 2023 runner-up State Man, who has also won the last two Irish Champion Hurdles, as the clear one to beat.

Remarkably, the Cheltenham Festival trends here also tell it’s a race either the Irish or Nicky Henderson have won a staggering 21 times in the last 25 (84%).

Shock-horror folks – yet another Cheltenham Festival day one contest a certain Willie Mullins likes to farm – winning the prize no fewer than nine times.
