AEK Athens vs Marseille Prediction
Groups don’t come much tighter than Group B in the Europa League at the minute, with Marseille heading into matchday 4 at the top of the pile, but just three points separates them and bottom placed Ajax. AEK Athens find themselves a point behind the leaders in third, whilst Brighton sit second – a point behind Marseille also.
To ensure that they keep their spot at the summit of the group, the Ligue 1 outfit need to beat AEK away from home, and a win would put them in good stead to advance to the knockout rounds.
It won’t come that easy though, as they have struggled for form in recent months with just two wins from their last 10 matches, however they did beat AEK 3-1 in the reverse fixture.
In comparison, AEK have lost just once in their last six matches in all competitions (against Marseille), and they’ll also be boosted by the absence of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang who misses out with a hamstring injury.
