In the latest Liverpool transfer news, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Reds are set to sign Alexis Mac Allister, but remain interested in midfielders Manu Kone, Khephren Thuram and Gabri Veiga.
Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Alexis Mac Allister’s move to Liverpool from Brighton is a done deal.
The Argentine has long been linked with a move to Anfield, but Romano now claims that a full agreement has been reached for the World Cup winner.
Romano revealed the news on his Twitter account.
“Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool, here we go! Full agreement completed on the contract — understand it will be valid until June 2028. Five year deal.” he tweeted.
“Liverpool will pay the buy out clause in the next days, way less than reported £60m fee.
“Medical tests in 24/48h. Done.”

Despite Mac Allister being a midfield signing, Romano has also confirmed that the Reds are looking to add even more midfield options.
Midfielders James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all depart in the summer, whilst Arthur will return to Juventus, leaving a desperate need for midfield reinforcements.
Romano has claimed that Liverpool have held talks with the agents of Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone and Nice’s Khephren Thuram.
He also stated that despite appreciating Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga, no talks have yet taken place.
