Kevin Blake Banker Or Bust Cheltenham Tips on Day 2: Weds 15th March 2023
See which of today’s big three favourites at the Cheltenham Festival top Irish horse racing pundit Kevin Blake is taking on and those he’s backing.
1.30: Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle ITV4: IMPAIRE ET PASSE (BUST)
The first of the Kevin Blake banker or bust Cheltenham tips today is a BUST – as he’s happy to go against the Willie Mullins favourite in the opener – Impaire Et Passe. Despite Blake feeling the Mullins camp are very hopeful of a big run, there are enough other horse in the race to have running for you. These include two other top Mullins runners – Gaelic Warrior and Champ Kiely – plus the Paul Nicholls-trained Hermes Allen.
2.10: Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase ITV1: GERRI COLOMBE (BUST)
Gerri Colombe is a horse Kevin Blake likes and the rain has certainly come for him too. However, he feels this Gordon Elliott runner is a tad short in the betting and is no real value. The Real Whacker is put up by Blake as a lively alternative. So, another ‘Blake bust’ here.
3.30: Queen Mother Champion Chase ITV1: EDWARDSTONE (BANKER)
The feature race of the day is the Queen Mother Champion Chase and this sees a Kevin Blake ‘BANKER’ in the shape of Edwardstone. He feels last year’s Arkle winner is the right favourite in the race and has shown the best level of form this season – in winning the Tingle Creek and a close second in the Clarence House last time.
