Reigning treble-winners Manchester City head down to the south coast to take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening, where they’ll be hoping to extend their unbeaten run to 17 straight matches.
The Cityzens bounced back from a 1-1 draw with Chelsea with a 1-0 win over Brentford in midweek, in which Erling Haaland scored the sole goal of the tie to ensure all three points less than 20 minutes from time.
They now occupy second place in the English top flight table, four points behind leaders Liverpool, while Bournemouth find themselves down in 13th after a winless start to the league in 2024.
Andoni Iraola’s side most recently drew 2-2 with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park, which followed on from a bitterly disappointing 3-1 loss against Fulham the weekend prior.
