See below the Premier League fixtures for the first weekend of games as the curtain is set to go up on the new 2023/24 season this Friday, with matches also on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Full Premier League Fixtures For First Weekend: 11th-14th August 2023
The 2023/24 Premier League season kicks-off on Friday night with newly promoted Burnley hosting the current champions Manchester City – with the added sub-plot surrounding former City player Vincent Kompany, who is now the boss of the Clarets.
We’ve six more games on Saturday to get stuck into, with the traditional lunchtime fixture that sees Arsenal entertain Nottingham Forest at the Emirates, while Villa travel to Newcastle in the 5:30pm offering.
We’ll also see history in the making on Saturday as Luton Town will be making their first appearance in the Premier League when they travel to the south coast to clash with Brighton.
Onto Sunday and there’s two matches that include the big ‘week one’ highlight between Chelsea and Liverpool – two sides that didn’t have the best of season’s last term and will be looking to hit the ground running.
Did you know? ALL of the last six head-to-heads between Chelsea and Liverpool have ended in draws – with the last four all being 0-0!
We end the Premier League fixtures for first weekend on Monday with Wolves, who were the lowest-scoring side in the league last season, making the trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
