Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Predictions & Preview

Nottingham Forest travel across the Midlands to Wolverhampton in Premier League‘s gameweek 16, with Reds boss Steve Cooper fighting to keep his job. If Forest fall to defeat, it’s widely expected the Welshman will be given his marching orders.

Forest have lost four straight in the league, most recently a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Fulham in midweek. They’re still four points adrift the relegation zone however, and the promoted sides are doing them a huge favour.

Despite losing Julen Lopetegui in the summer and barely making a signing, Wolves are doing surprisingly well. They sit in 13th, five points ahead of Forest and have won two of their last four.

Wolves have beaten both Spurs and Manchester City this season, and we’ve seen Hee-Chan Hwang break out into a star up front with eight league goals. Pedro Neto also leads the top-flight with seven assists.

We at SportsLens expect a fairly comfortable afternoon for the hosts at Molineux, which should all but confirm the end of Steve Cooper’s reign at Nottingham after guiding the club back to the Premier League in 2022.

Prediction: Wolves 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips

  • Wolves To Win & Under 2.5 Goals @ 11/4
  • Pedro Neto To Score Or Assist @ 11/10
  • Combined Bet Builder Odds @ 7/1

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tip 1: Wolves To Win & Under 2.5 Goals @ 11/4

Our first tip for your Saturday afternoon Wolves vs Forest Premier League bet builder is to back the hosts to win and under 2.5 goals to be scored, priced by leading UK betting sites at 11/4.

Forest are really struggling at the minute and this is something Wolves can take advantage of. In the absence of Taiwo Awoinyi up top, the Reds have lacked productivity and are struggling to score goals.

Wolves aren’t the most prolific attacking side either, but they should have the edge. They haven’t scored more than two goals in a single outing so far this season so a home win and under 2.5 goals is our play for this one.

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tip 2: Pedro Neto To Score Or Assist @ 11/10

Pedro Neto has established himself as one of the most dangerous and creative attackers in the top-flight this season, evidenced by his league-leading seven assists – tied at the top with Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier.

The Portuguese star has bagged an assist in each of his last three appearances for Wolves and he’s blanked on just three occasions. He’s slightly underperforming his xG but with his level of talent we have reason to believe he’ll catch up in no time.
