Arsenal’s title hopes received another huge blow on Wednesday night as they were thrashed 4-1 by Manchester City. It was a Kevin De Bruyne masterclass that helped the Cityzens to a vital win in this Premier League title race. We’re taking a look at Arsenal’s remaining fixtures.

De Bruyne scored twice and assisted once with John Stones and Erling Haaland also getting on the scoresheet at the Etihad last night.

Arsenal do remain top of the league by two points, but City have two games in hand on the league leaders. It’s not impossible by Mikel Arteta’s side are now relying on their challengers to slip up at least twice come the end of the season.

The Gunners have 15 points left to play for in their final five games, and they’ll surely need to win them all now if they’re to stop City from winning a third title in a row.

Next Tuesday (May 2) Arteta’s side return to the Emirates to take on Chelsea in a game with potential jeopardy. Despite the struggles of their London rivals this season, the Blues should soon see some positivity with the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino imminent.

Next they face an in-form Newcastle United away from home on Sunday May 7 in another mammoth clash. A week later and the Gunners play another one of the best sides in the league this season when they host Brighton. They’ve only beat the Seagulls once in their last four meetings.

Arteta’s men then travel to the East Midlands to take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday May 20 in what could be a potential season defining game for both parties.

And, if Arsenal are still in the title race come the final game of the season then their game against Wolves at the Emirates could be huge.
