Watford vs Southampton Preview and Prediction
The visitors have been on a terrific run in recent months, as the Saints are unbeaten in their last 21 matches and have moved to third in the Championship.
Russell Martin’s side last tasted defeat in September 2023, losing to Middlesbrough 2-1 at the Riverside Stadium.
The club on the south coast earned a place in round four of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Walsall and now face the challenge of a trip to Vicarage Road.
Watford edged past National League side Chesterfield in round three and this win is part of a five match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
The Hornets drew to Bristol City in their most recent league fixture and Valérien Ismaël’s side will be looking to go a step further on Sunday afternoon.
These two sides met in December last year in an evenly matched Championship stalemate, as Rhys Healey cancelled out Che Adams’ early opener.
However, even after playing out a 1-1 draw in their previous meeting, we expect Southampton to win the match and progress to round five of the FA Cup.

Like we said before, Southampton are one of the most in-form teams in England after a 21 match unbeaten streak and Watford face a difficult challenge on Sunday.
The Saints have also won seven of their last eight matches in all competitions and show no signs of slowing down.
With that in mind, we expect the visitors to continue this tremendous run and the price of 11/10 is too enticing to ignore.

Russell Martin’s side are not only proving difficult to beat, but their recent record in front of goal is just as impressive.
The Saints have scored 19 goals in their last six matches, scoring at least three in each of their last three matches.
