The Open Tee Times – Sunday, Final Day
Heading into The 151st Open Championship fourth round, there are so many narratives that could play out across the last 18 holes of golf at Hoylake. Not only that, but there are still so many players in with a chance of being victorious come this evening. Despite yesterday’s rain, fans were treated to an entertaining moving day with Cameron Young, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and Jason Day all closing the gap on leader Brian Harman.
Current leader Brian Harman has looked untouchable so far. He maintained his five-shot lead over the rest of the Pack with Cameron Young making headways at seven-under-par. The pair will be teeing off last on Sunday at 2:15pm, with both searching for their first major in a bid to become the Open Champion.
Meanwhile Sepp Straka finished Saturday with a 1-under-par round of 70 leaving him one shot better off than Friday. However, he has found himself seven shots behind Harman. The Austrian has been playing well all weekend at Hoylake, and will tee off at 1:45pm with fan-favourite Tommy Fleetwood. The Englishman struggled to get going in the end on Saturday and with only opne birdie and one bogey, he ended on a level par round of 71.
Jon Rahm produced an almighty comeback on Saturday, and birdied seven of his last 10 holes to score 63, which was the lowest score for the course in its major history. It was looking all over for the Spaniard ahead of tee off, but now at 6-under-par, Rahm sits in third. Rahm will tee off at 2:05pm alongside Viktor Hovland, who also made good ground on Saturday. It was by far the best round of the weekend for the Norwegian, he finished with a 66 after moving day and experienced some luck along the way.
Pre-tournament favourite Rory McIlroy headed to The Open this weekend following a monumental win in the Scottish Open last weekend, but hasn’t been at his best this time around. The Northern Irishman started well on Saturday, but wasn’t consistent towards the end of play. He finished three-under-par after a 69 on moving day. McIlroy tees off at 1:00pm alongside Argentine Emiliano Grillo.
