BANGOR 3.20

HAUT ESTIME (Lucinda Russell chasers, first run after a wind operation)

Lucinda Russell does well with her chasers on their first run back following wind surgery, scoring with seven of the 48 qualifiers for a profit of £42.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those running in Class 4 or lower company were seven from 29 (+£61.25). HAUTE ESTIME disappointed at Ayr on January 2nd when we last saw her but the subsequent wind operation suggests excuses that day and she can bounce back in this Class 4 contest.

BANGOR 4.50

GWENNIE MAY BOY (system – Dan Skelton stable switchers, handicap hurdles)

Dan Skelton has a good record at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, especially the handicap hurdlers. He’s won with 40 of the 138 qualifiers (29% strike-rate) for a profit of £14.02 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who ran in a hurdle race last time out were 32 from 95 for a profit of £32.50. GWENNIE MAY BOY was reportedly never travelling prior to pulling up in a handicap hurdle for Jonjo O’Neill last time and can make a winning start for his new handler.

KEMPTON 6.00

JUST RITA (system – Marco Botti all-weather handicappers, fresh, aged three or four)

Marco Botti does well with all-weather handicappers who were returning from a break of at least 40 days, with the three and four-year-olds landing 49 of their 255 starts since the spring of 2016 for a profit of £116.28. JUST RITA’s sire Bated Breath gets plenty of winners at Kempton and the three-year-old can get off the mark on her handicap debut.

KEMPTON 6.30

HILLTOP (system – Kublers, up in trip to 1m+)

Daniel & Claire Kubler have a useful recent record when stepping a horse up in distance to 1m or further, scoring with eight of the 44 qualifiers since racing resumed after lockdown for a profit of £65.80 to a £1 level stake at SP. HILLTOP has a wide draw to overcome but the daughter of New Bay will improve for her 33-1 debut sixth at Lingfield and could sneak into the frame at juicy odds.
