UNION COURT (system – Havana Grey, 5f-6f, turf)
Progeny of the sire Havana Grey have a 23 from 107 record in sprints on turf for a profit of £46.71 to a £1 level stake at SP and Ed Walker’s UNION COURT contributed with 5f wins at Leicester and Chepstow on her first two starts. She’s run some solid races in defeat since, including a runner-up effort to The Platinum Queen at Goodwood in July. She met trouble when fifth of 27 in a valuable sales race at Newmarket last time and will be happier in today’s smaller field.
HUNTINGDON 4.57
THE COMPOSEUR (system – Jonjo O’Neil, Huntingdon handicap hurdles)
Jonjo O’Neill has a fine recent record in handicap hurdles at Huntingdon, scoring with 13 of the 55 qualifiers since the beginning of 2016 (23.6% strike-rate) for a profit of £29.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. THE COMPOSEUR ran poorly over fences on his return from a break at Newton Abbot last month and might do better back over hurdles in first-time cheekpieces.
