FANTASTIC LADY (system – Nicky Henderson, chase to handicap hurdle switchers)
Nicky Henderson has a 3 from 241 record (14.1% strike-rate) this century when switching a runner from fences to handicap hurdles for a profit of £38.53 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 21.76, A/E = 1.56). At Kempton only the score is nine from 33 (+£27.33). FANTASTIC LADY has failed to shine over fences in her recent starts but, last term, had form with the likes of Pic D’Orhy and Hewick and could appreciate the return to hurdles.

MIDNIGHT GINGER (system – Andrew Martin handicap chasers)
Andrew Martin has a useful record with his handicap chasers, scoring with 16 of the 83 qualifiers since 2016 for a profit of £125.58 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 8.56, A/E = 1.87). MIDNIGHT GINGER won over 2m on heavy here last time, despite finding the trip on the short side, and can follow up.
SOUTHWELL 3.55
INDICATE (system – Karl Burke, second-time out 3yos, all-weather)
Karl Burke has a solid record with second-time out three-year-olds on the all-weather, scoring with 17 of the 71 qualifiers since 2010 for a profit of £111.13 to the usual £1 stake (expected winners = 9.70, A/E = 1.75). The last six qualifiers have recorded form figures of 133112 (3-6), including a 16-1 winner (tipped in this column) last Saturday and INDICATE can add to recent gains.

THAT’LL BE THE DAY (system – David Brace, young handicap chasers, recent run)
David Brace does well with his handicap chasers, aged nine or less, who had raced within the past six weeks, scoring with eight of the 28 qualifiers for a profit of £73.65. He had a 20-1 winner on this system at Ludlow earlier this week and perhaps THAT’LL BE THE DAY, fifth and pulled up (29 days ago) in two outings for Brace since leaving the Mangan yard in Ireland, will be fitter with those runs behind him.
CHELMSFORD 7.50
TOP BUTTON (system – Jack Jones, Class 6 handicaps, all-weather)
Jack Jones has a 17 from 72 record in Class 6 handicaps on synthetics for a profit of £42.23 (expected winners = 10.53, A/E = 1.61). TOP BUTTON is an eight-race maiden but the race wasn’t run to suit when seventh of nine in the re-applied hood at Lingfield last time and he’s worth another chance.
