Throughout the day, Energumene shortened in price to 6/5 after opening at 13/8 and later moving to 6/4, 11/8 and even 5/4 earlier this hour.
Jockey Paul Townend sealed a third winner at this year’s Cheltenham Festival following triumphs for El Fabiolo and Impaire Et Passe.
Willie Mullins will be delighted as the 9-year-old replicated last year’s success at Cheltenham and found glory once again.
Energumene is owned by Tony Bloom, an English entrepreneur who also owns Premier League club Brighton.

Energumene became the first back-to-back winner of the day two feature in 14 years following Master Minded in 2008 and 2009.
Despite the rain, the 2022 Champion Chase winner went on to win by ten lengths whilst initial favourite Edwardstone struggled on the soft ground and failed to place.
