Darts sensation Luke Littler is priced as short as 1/4 to join newly crowned World Champion Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen in this year’s Premier League Darts, according to exclusive odds compiled by SportsLens.

Arrows prodigy Littler, who is already favourite to win the 2024 SPOTY award, lost Wednesday night’s World Darts Championship final to Humphries in agonising fashion, going down 7-4 in a thrilling clash at Alexandra Palace.
This year’s Premier League begins in Cardiff on February 1 and concludes at London’s O2 on May 23, with the line-up expected to be announced this afternoon.

We make “The Nuke” 1/4 to be selected for the Premier League as he would actually turn 17 before the roadshow begins. The fact that Sky get a say will surely count in his favourite given the viewing figures he is raking in for the network.
“The likes of Rob Cross, who missed out last year and Gerwyn Price, who won the Premier League in 2020 are almost certain to be involved and deservedly so. Peter Wright could miss out after his poor performance at Ally Pally and perhaps Chris Dobey has done enough to sneak in the backdoor. Fan favourite Stephen Bunting could also be worth a look as an 8/1 outsider.”
Chris ‘Hollywood’ Dobey or Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright?
The Premier League’s current eight-player weekly knockout format replaced the cumulative league format in 2022 and some fans have called for the reintroduction of the original formula, but to no avail. Nonetheless, Luke Littler’s astonishing emergence and Luke Humphries’ epic winning run have injected an extra shot of enthusiasm into this year’s roadshow. But the question remains, who will grab the final wildcard place?
Peter Wright finished runner up to Michael Van Gerwen in 2017 but had a dismal season last year, reaching just one final which he lost to leave him effectively bottom of the overall standings in his 10th appearance. Snakebite was thrashed 3-0 by Jim Williams at Alexandra Palace before Christmas in a set back to his chances of being selected again this year. He is priced at 9/4 to be picked off the back of his second round exit.
Chris Dobey made his debut in the Premier League and started impressively by beating Gerwyn Price to win the opening night in Belfast. But the Geordie went on to make just one more final, this time losing out to Price in Nottingham and finishing second-bottom when the tournament concluded. Dobey’s hopes of being selected for the 2024 edition will have been boosted by a decent run at the World Championships which saw him reach the quarter-finals before surrendering a 4-0 lead to lose 5-4 to Rob Cross.
