The Premier League Fixtures Move Into Week Two

The ‘week one’ Premier League stats got off to a flying start with plenty of trends continuing – including City beating Burnley ‘to nil’, Chelsea and Liverpool drawing (yet again), under 2.5 goals in the Sheff Utd v Palace & Man Utd v Wolves games and also Fulham, Newcastle and Brighton all winning.

A bumper first week of winning stats – let’s see if we can continue the good form into ‘week two’.

Onto this weekend and no rest for an English top-flight footballer at the moment (but they have just had 3 months off), as we race into the ‘week two’ Premier League fixtures with 18 of the 20 sides in action.

No Luton vs Burnley as the Kenilworth Road ground is still being refurbed to meet the Premier League standards, but we’ve still 9 top fixtures to look forward to.

We get going with another Friday night clash as Forest are at home to Sheff Utd in what looks an early season 6-pointer already – 4 of the last 7 have been draws.

Then we’ve three Saturday 3pm games that include Liverpool vs Bournemouth and the Cherries hoping to avoid the 9-0 battering they took in this clash last season.

The action ramps up several notches in on Saturday night with a double bill of quality as Spurs host Man Utd at 5:3opm and then the champions Manchester City entertain Newcastle – a match that has tended to produce goals in recent times.

Sunday sees Villa take on Everton and Chelsea travel across London to face West Ham. The Hammers are unbeaten in 6 of their last 8 home league games vs the Blues.

The Premier League ‘week two’ fixtures end on Monday night with another London derby as Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park – a venue the Gunners have lost just twice at in their last 18.

We give you one key stat to take into each ‘week two’ Premier League match.
