12:23 – Qatar Prix Chaudenay (Group 2) (Grande Course) (Turf) (3yo) 1m7f SKY
1. DUKE DE SESSA 2. La Mehana 3. Al Qareem
DUKE OF SESSA @ 11/8 with 888Sport will have the services of Christophe Soumillon, who has won this race three times since 2013. A narrow winner at Leopardstown last time out in the G3 Paddy Power Stakes was a good effort off a 2 1/2 month break and has now won 3 of his 9 career runs. La Mehana is seeking a four-timer and looks a filly on the up after beating Sober well last time, while UK raider Al Qareem ran the useful Deauville Legend close two runs ago at Newmarket and can go well off a break with Ryan Moore booked to ride.
1:33 – Qatar Prix de Royallieu (Group 1) (Fillies & Mares) (Grande Course) (Turf) (3yo+) 1m6f SKY
1. EMILY DICKINSON (e/w) 2.Verry Elleegant 3. Sea La Rosa
EMILY DICKINSON (e/w) @ 5/1 with 888Sport was running on well in the St Leger at Doncaster last time out (5th) and before that was third to Sea La Rosa in the Lillie Langtry Stakes. This Aidan O’Brien runner looks worth sticking with the Longchamp straight likely to bring her stamina into play and she also gets a handy 8lbs off some of the other main players in the race. Former Melbourne Cup winner, Verry Elleegant was balloted out of the Arc, but will be popular here for the Graffard yard and the already mentioned Sea La Rosa is yet to finish out of the first three on the turf (10 runs, 6 wins) and looks sure to be involved too.
2:50 – Haras de Bouquetot – Criterium Arqana (Conditions) (New & Grande Course) (Turf) (2yo) 1m SKY
1. DENMARK 2. Munch 3. Crackovia
DENMARK @ 11/4 with 888Sport could be another useful Ballydoyle prospect in the making after winning easier on debut at Naas back in August. This Camelot colt holds an Epsom Derby entry for 2023 and can be expected to have strengthened up further over the last 2 months – Ryan Moore rides. Of the others, the David Menuisier yard won this race in 2019 and have another fair sort in Munch, who has won two of her last three. Another UK raider, Crackovia is considered too from the Mark Johnston yard with Mickael Barzalona booked to ride.

3:25 – Qatar Prix du Cadran (Group 1) (New & Grande Course) (Turf) (4yo+) 2m4f SKY
1. KYPRIOS 2. Quickthorn 3. Skazino
KYPRIOS @ 4/5 with 888Sport has already had a top season – winning the Ascot Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup and Irish St Leger – there could be more to come. All wins are in workmanlike fashion, but this Aidan O’Brien 4 year-old has now won his last five and is blessed with a turn-of-foot and stamina – a perfect blend for these top cup races. Quickthorn improved to win the Lonsdale Cup at York the last day and is a course winner that should make a bold bid from the front, while of the home-based runners Skazino often runs well at the Paris track and can get involved.
4:00 – Qatar Prix Dollar (Group 2) (Grande Course) (Turf) (3yo+) 1m2f SKY
1. BOTANIK (e/w) 2. Anmaat 3. Wally
BOTANIK (e/w) @ 9/1 with 888Sport has won his last three including G3 and G2 races at Deauville in August. This Godolphin 4 year-old is back in trip to 1m2f here but his proven stamina is sure to be well used, while regular jockey Mickael Barzalona, who has won on him six times, continues in the saddle. The hat-trick-seeking Wally has won his last two in Group 3 company and deserves another tilt in this better race. On the UK raiders the Owen Burrows runner Anmaat trounced Grocer Jack last time at Haydock and is yet to finish out of the first three on the turf (7 runs).
4:35 – Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Group 2) (3yo+) (Grande Course) (Turf) (3yo+) 1m SKY
1. TRIPLE TIME 2. The Revenant 3. Erevann
TRIPLE TIME (e/w) @ 5/1 with 888Sport was impressive when winning at Haydock last time in the G3 Superior Mile and looked to have a bit more up his sleeve. Yes, that came off a 364-day break so the ‘bounce factor’ could come into play here, but this Kevin Ryan runner has now won 3 of his 5 starts and is lightly-raced enough to suggest there’s more in the tank. The Revenant is a two-time (2019 and 2020) winner of this race so is respected too, while the Rouget camp have farmed the winners in 2016 and 2017 so their Erevann has be go well if repeating his close third to the classy Inspiral at Deauville last time.
