The reverse of gameweek three’s hugely entertaining clash between Lazio and Feyenoord should present viewers with one of the matches of the round this week.
The Dutch champions enter Tuesday night as Group E leaders, with that 3-1 victory last time out in Rotterdam enough to see them edge in front of Atletico Madrid by a single point.
Arne Slot’s side find themselves slightly off the pace in the Eredivisie with undefeated PSV moving seven points clear, but their performances in Europe so far have been notable, and they will have identified this week’s match-up with Lazio as a match that could well confirm their finishing position as table toppers.
They ran out comfortable fixtures against Lazio at the end of October, with free-scoring Santiago Gimenez netting a brace on his Champions League debut to continue his hugely impressive audition for a big-money move later down the line.
De club aan de Maas will have to be wary of their opponents, however. Although they have been sluggish in Serie A, and failed to close out games they maybe should have won, they can take comfort in their relatively strong home form.
They have lost just once in five fixtures on home soil in Rome, and they only sit two points off Feyenoord in what is turning out to be one of the more closely contested Champions League groups this term.

Lazio vs Feyenoord Tip One: Gimenez to Score
Santiago Gimenez is commanding the attention of some of Europe’s leading clubs, with the Mexican firing on all cylinders for Feyenoord this season.
With a varied skillset Gimenez is extremely versatile, making him incredibly hard to track as a defender. It is no wonder the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Real Madrid have been touted as possible destinations, having netted 15 goals in 13 appearances this term – already as many as he scored last year.
He was instrumental in Feyenoord’s win in Rome last month, scoring either side of half-time to ensure victory.
Lazio vs Feyenoord Tip Two: Feyenoord to Win
Both domestic and European form indicates a Feyenoord win, and we were surprised to see favouritism for Lazio from bookmakers, albeit marginal.
That led to an easy decision from us to select the travelling side as our second tip. They were mightily unlucky not to walk away with a result on matchday two in Madrid, which remains their only blip of the campaign so far.
Lazio’s recent form leaves a lot to be desired, particularly in Serie A where they have fallen to defeat in half of their 10 games so far.
The Eredivisie champions had more than enough quality on display in the reverse of this fixture, and although an away trip to the Stadio Olimpico is represents an entirely different challenge, we think they can collect three points here.
