Kyle Walker Out For Revenge

The Manchester City right back has played 78 games for his country over the years, but Tuesday night’s Euro Qualifier against Italy could be more important than most with Walker looking for revenge.

England got the closest they’ve been to winning a trophy in some years in 2020, with the Three Lions faltering in the Euro final against Italy at their home stadium in Wembley, London.

Tuesday night will see a replay of that fateful night at Wembley three years ago, as England welcome Italy for one of their final Euro qualifiers ahead of next years tournament in Germany.

Speaking before the game, Walker recalled the 2020 final saying that his teammates are ready for payback this week. “We fell short that night. Hopefully we can get a little bit of payback.

“To do what we did in that special summer, to arrive so close. To concede a goal through a set-play when we’ve been so good it was devastating.”
