This weekend’s ITV Racing schedule is jam-packed with the free-to-air channel covering top jumps races at Cheltenham and Doncaster – there are EIGHT races in total to add to your horse racing diaries.

ITV Racing Schedule On Saturday 27th January 2024

The ITV Racing Schedule this Saturday will see horse racing fans looking forward to EIGHT races spread across the day’s two top jumping fixtures at Cheltenham and Doncaster.

The home of National Hunt racing – Cheltenham – will stage their popular Trials Day fixture, which is their final afternoon of racing before the Cheltenham Festival in March.

There will be bumper eight-race card to get through, with last week’s cancelled Clarence House Chase added to the fixture, with five LIVE on ITV. The International Hurdle is another of the big highlights as the last winner of the race in 2021 Guard Your Dreams is back after a 660-day absence. Trainers Nigel Twiston-Davies (4) and Nicky Henderson (3) have won seven of the last nine renewals between them.

The Cheltenham card also has the Cleeve Hurdle, which is often a good pointer to the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Festival, plus the Cotswold Chase – a race that’s been a bit of a graveyard contest for favourites in recent years, with only two of the last 19 market leaders going in.

Then at Doncaster the ITV Racing schedule sees three more races from Town Moor. These include the Great Yorkshire Handicap Chase (formerly the SkyBet Chase) as well as the River Don Novices’ Hurdle and Yorkshire Rose Mares’ Hurdle.

The last-named is also a race top Irish trainer Willie Mullins has won twice in the past with Annie Power and Vroum Vroum Mag and at this stage has several entries that could make the trip over.
